APR 6: Depart for French Polynesia. Arrive in Papeete, Tahiti, and transfer to the InterContinental Tahiti Resort or similar.
APR 7: After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing of some of Tahiti’s most famous landmarks. Begin in the residential district of Punaauia for a sampling of the island’s archeological finds at the Museum of Tahiti, revealing the customs and culture of ancient and modern Tahiti. Next is a visit to the romantic Vaipahi Garden to see fascinating, rare species of flora and fauna. Then head to the Arahurahu Marae, a Polynesian temple, which requires a short walk from the coach. You will also see the bustling Papeete Market, teeming with fishmongers and farmers selling fresh, local produce, and the famous Town Hall on Rue Paul Gauguin. (Motor coach and walking tour with a moderate amount of walking)
Transfer to Marina in the early afternoon.
