Take a moment away from your busy day to imagine. See yourself on the Ponte Vecchio bridge at sunset, or standing in front of a Botticelli, or walking the Boboli Gardens, filling your soul with the smell of jasmine. Feel the spray of the Trevi Fountain on a hot day, throw in a coin, make a wish. Imagine yourself at the Colosseum side by side with the ghosts of gladiators or in a cafe toasting the end of the day with a rich ruby red wine. Close your eyes and taste warm crusty breads, velvety cheeses and ripe olives. Such are the glories of Rome and Florence. Add to that the Tuscan countryside, vineyards and lofty cypresses marching up undulating hills to medieval hilltop villages. All told it has the makings of an unforgettable trip.

FLORENCE
Florence Treasures and
Chianti Hills

The magnificent art and architecture of Florence, the 'Cradle of the Italian Renaissance,' is celebrated the world over. Marvel at the Cathedral with its elegant Campanile and huge dome, its marble-encrusted Baptistery and vast bronze doors by Ghiberti. Stroll through winding streets of bygone days and come face to face with Michelangelo's David at the elegant Academy of Fine Arts. Travel the famous Chianti wine route through gorgeous Tuscan landscapes to the 5th-century Castle Vicchiomaggio, where Leonardo da Vinci visited while painting the Mona Lisa. Enjoy superb views of the Chianti hills, a taste of the local wines and a light lunch in one of the castle's glorious halls.

Historic Pisa and Lucca
Two proud old Italian cities wreathed in past glories. Pisa, splendid architecture, fascinating history. The Field of Miracles, home to the buildings that recall Pisa's past grandeur including the famous Leaning Tower. Lucca, rich in art and history. Massive red brick walls enclose the city, making it one of the best preserved Renaissance defenses in Europe, and the remains of an amphitheater can be seen as you walk the ancient walls.

Included scenic transfer
via Orvieto

Enjoy a leisurely drive through the Italian countryside with a stop in Orvieto. The views are spectacular from this culturally rich city that looks down from its cliff-edged balcony over a vineyard-spotted plain. Stroll quaint streets lined with colorful ceramic products and wrought ironware. Perhaps explore the medieval duomo, among the greatest of Italian Romanesque-Gothic cathedrals.

ROME
Monumental Rome
They say all roads lead to Rome, and when you breathe in this glorious city that vibrates with history, you'll know why. A walking tour includes the spectacular Colosseum, the ancient remains of the Forum, and the Trevi Fountain, Rome's most famous fountain. Relax on a panoramic drive to admire Marcello's Theater, Piazza Venezia, Castle Sant'Angelo, the Court of Justice, and the picturesque Tiber with its graceful bridges, the list of wonders is endless.

Christian Rome and Vatican City
A trip to the Vatican Museums will be an awe-inspiring experience as you take in the artistic genius of the Renaissance. The Sistine Chapel thrills with its majesty and the brilliance of Michelangelo's Genesis and Last Judgment. Stroll St. Peter's Square and take in the size and beauty of St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world. Visit the church of St. Paul Outside the Walls with its richly decorated facade of mosaics, considered to be one of the most beautiful in Rome.
