Day 2 U.S.A. Welcome to Cape Town, the oldest city in South Africa, renowned for natural beauty unparalleled anywhere in the world. Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met and taken to your hotel. THE CULLINAN HOTEL
Day 3 Cape Town. Today you will take a leisurely tour of the area that begins at the base of Table Mountain, whose pinnacle can be spotted 125 miles out to sea. You will reach the 3,000 ft. summit via a revolving cable car where a fantastic view awaits (weather permitting). Next, highlights of the city include a drive past the Castle of Good Hope, the City Hall and Company's Gardens, the South African Museum and the Houses of Parliament. Continue to the Bo-Kaap, a picturesque Malay Quarter, an area characterized by narrow, cobblestone streets and a colorful array of flat-roofed houses. THE CULLINAN HOTEL
Day 4 Cape Town. Today you'll take a magnificent drive along the Atlantic and False Bay coastlines that will present you with unparalleled views. Pass through Hout Bay, with its picturesque harbor bustling with brightly colored boats and local fishermen. Continue over Chapman's Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. From the cliffs of Cape Point you will see the ocean appear to boil as the currents of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans converge. Your return takes you to Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony. Day 5 Cape Town. Today you will drive out into lush valleys of winelands just east of Cape Town. Enjoy the historic university town of Stellenbosch where you may participate in a wine tasting, followed by a stroll through this charming city. A second wine tasting will be offered before you partake in a sumptuous picnic lunch in Franschhoek, settled by the French in 1688. Stroll the streets of this charming town before heading back to your hotel. THE CULLINAN HOTEL (B, L)
Day 6 CapeTown/Johannesburg/Ivory Tree Game Lodge
After breakfast transfer to the airport and fly to Johannesburg, then by motor coach continue on to the Ivory Tree Game Lodge. After checking in at the lodge there will be time to freshen up before this evening's game drive followed by a delicious dinner in the dining room, or in the African-style boma. Days 9 Ivory Tree Game Lodge/JOHANNESBURG.
After breakfast drive to Johannesburg and begin the day with a visit to the Apartheid Museum that so eloquently depicts the passionate fight to end apartheid. Next, a real highlight, lunch at Wandies in Soweto, popular with locals and tourists for its native cuisine. After lunch, discover the local color of Soweto Township in a walkabout. See the informative and moving Hector Pieterson Museum and around the corner, the Nelson Mandela House. Travelers returning to the U.S.A. will be transferred to the airport in time for their flight that evening. Travelers on the optional extension to Victoria Falls will overnight at the Balalaika Protea Hotel in Sandton near Johannesburg airport. (B, L)
Day 10 U.S.A. Morning arrival in the U.S.A. to connect to your flight home.

Day 10 Johannesburg/Victoria Falls, Zambia. After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Livingstone Airport. You will be met and transferred to the River Club (or similar). The lodge is Edwardian in flavor, a cozy and inviting place to take in Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River. This evening enjoy a Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi followed by dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 11 Victoria Falls, Zambia. This morning take a walking tour to view the Devil's Cataract and Rainbow Falls. You will soon know why the falls are one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the World." Afterward visit the Traditional Living Village and Craft Market where you will learn the culture and lifestyle of the locals. Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a game drive in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. Relax on a sunset cruise before dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 12 Victoria Falls, Zambia/Johannesburg/U.S.A. This morning check out of the lodge and continue to Livingstone markets and a visit to Chief Mukuni's Village. Transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight to Johannesburg and your international flight home. (B)
Day 13 U.S.A. Morning arrival in the U.S.A. to connect to your flight home.
