ITINERARY

March 7

Sydney

Step off the Riviera and into the heart of Sydney.  Before setting into the elegant Swissôtel Sydney, enjoy a curated half-day sightseeing tour of Sydney, Australia’s largest city, highlighted by an in-depth visit to the iconic Sydney Opera House, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s most distinctive architectural landmarks. Continue to The Rocks, Sydney’s oldest preserved colonial district, where historic streets and waterfront views reveal the city’s early beginnings. Along the way, enjoy scenic drives through Bondi Junction, Paddington, and the exclusive harbor-side suburbs of Rose Bay and Double Bay, with spectacular Pacific Ocean views from The Gap. Pass by the lively district of Kings Cross and visit the tranquil Royal Botanical Gardens, including the Conservatorium of Music and Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, offering sweeping views of Sydney Harbour.

Sydney to Cairns

After breakfast, transfer to the airport* for your flight to Cairns. Upton arrival, check into the 5-star Riley Cairns Crystalbrook Collection hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Cairns

After breakfast, enjoy an included full-day Great Barrier Reef excursion with lunch. Explore one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of the world-Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Cruise to an outer reef to see the largest coral reef in the world firsthand. This underwater paradise showcases a kaleidoscope of over 200 varieties of coral, over 1,500 species of fish, giant clams, and other fascinating marine life. Enjoy an included morning and afternoon tea, a lunch buffet, and a presentation from a marine biologist. View the reef from an underwater observatory or a semi-submersible vessel. Snorkeling equipment will be provided for those who would like to venture into the water.

Cairns or Optional Excursion

Spend the day at leisure or enjoy an OPTIONAL full-day Scenic Skyrail, Waterfall, and Wetlands Excursion with lunch-$299 per person. Experience the beauty of Australia’s breathtaking landscape firsthand.

Cairns

After breakfast, transfer* to the airport for your return home.

Travelers should be confident in their ability to walk and stand for a minimum of 5 hours with a total of 2-4 miles per day while keeping a steady pace with a group or tour guide. This tour can involve walking on uneven ground for extended periods and occasionally stairs, some without handrails. Travelers should be able to board a coach or tour bus independently. This tour is not recommended for those with a walker or wheelchair. Participating guests must be comfortable operating on the water as a portion of the program includes a ferry and a boat tour. **The Sydney Opera House Tour includes 200 steps.
