Important Information To Know Before You Go

Here, you will find important details and helpful information as you prepare for your journey.
Please take a moment to review the information provided below.

Required Documentation 

All guests must obtain the necessary travel documents before departure. Guests without valid documentation will not be boarded and will forfeit all money paid.

Travel requirements may differ from country to country, and therefore, it is the sole responsibility of each person to obtain the appropriate valid travel and health documents. Infants and children also require valid identification. Minors traveling without one or both parents must present an original notarized letter of permission from the absent parent(s). 

Passport
Your passport’s expiration date must be valid for at least six months after your return date. The names shown on your invoice must match your passport EXACTLY.
If you are an international passport holder for a country other than the United States or Canada, check with your local consulate for any applicable visa requirements for each port of call on the itinerary.   

Please be aware that as of January 1, 2016, the U.S. Department of State will no longer add blank visa pages to existing U.S. passports. Applicants needing additional blank visa pages in their valid passports must obtain new passports. For more information on how or where to apply, please click here.

Visa Requirements 
If you are not a citizen of the United States or Canada, it is your responsibility to consult with professional immigration counsel or contact your nearest Embassy or Consulate to obtain the latest, up-to-date information on immigration and entry requirements for the destinations you will be visiting.

Vaccination Requirements 
Guests must know and comply with all vaccination requirements for the countries they will visit on the cruise itinerary.

Travel advisories from the U.S. State Department and/or CDC 

When traveling outside the United States, please know that significantly different health, safety, and legal standards may prevail. You should plan and act accordingly and exercise personal judgment for your health and safety abroad. If you have special medical or physical requirements, investigate your destination(s) beforehand to ensure the necessary care and conditions will be available. Click here to view up-to-date information regarding travel health notices on the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) website or call the CDC international traveler’s hotline at 800-CDC-INFO (800-232-4636). Since health requirements can change without notice, and you may have specific health concerns, it is highly recommended that you check with your physician for the most up-to-date requirements or recommendations. Travel requirements for non-U.S. and Canadian citizens may differ; therefore, it is the sole responsibility of each traveler to obtain and have available the appropriate valid travel and health documents.

You will receive communications from both Go Next and Oceania Cruises. The time frames listed may vary. Click here to view.  

Air 

Air arrangements, including routings, are at Oceania Cruises’ discretion and are based on flight availability and agreements among airline carriers and Oceania Cruises.

Included airfareif applicable
You chose an air city at the time of booking. Oceania books all flights in economy class unless an upgrade has been requested. Let us know if you need to change your air city before receiving your preliminary air schedule (105 days before departure). Some cities will require an air city add-on fee of $199 USD per person. If you have reserved a Go Next or Oceania Cruises Pre-Cruise or Post-Cruise program, your flight dates will be adjusted automatically. 

  • Air arrangements, including routings, are at Oceania Cruises’ discretion and are based on flight availability and agreements among airline carriers and Oceania Cruises. 
  • All special requests, including seat assignments, adding frequent flyer numbers, or adding TSA Pre-Check numbers, can be done by contacting the airline(s) directly. Please note that some airline carriers will not allow seat assignments prior to ticket confirmation and may charge a fee for advance seat assignments. Oceania Cruises will automatically confirm final flight schedules approximately 95 days before sailing. 
  • Airline flights may not be eligible for upgrades with frequent flyer miles, and mileage credit may not apply to these fares. 
  • Restricted business and premium economy class airfare can be added to your booking for an additional cost and is for the over-the-water flights only. Any U.S. domestic or inter-European flights will be in coach class. 
  • Individual airline carriers set baggage fees. Please get in touch with your specific airline(s) for current rates and policies.  

You will receive a Preliminary Air Schedule approximately 105 days before departure to review your name and airline schedule. Be sure your name exactly matches your passport. Name changes may affect your flight schedule or incur extra fees. You must call Go Next to make any changes immediately.Oceania Cruises automatically begins confirming these flight schedules 95 days before departure. Any changes after that are subject to cancellation and fees. 

Flex Air 
Oceania Cruises’ Flex Air program allows guests to arrive and/or depart up to 3 days before or after the cruise without incurring air deviation fees. Flex Air must be requested no later than 125 days before sailing. Please note that if you take advantage of the Flex Air program, you will be responsible for ground transfers and hotel accommodations for your extended stay.  

Custom Air 
Oceania Cruises offers a custom air option for an additional fee plus any possible airfare differential. Custom air can be requested as early as 270 days before departure. This option allows guests to request a specific airline or flight schedule and/or to travel with family or friends. Custom air requests will not be accepted within 95 days before sailing. Fees are non-refundable once the air request has been accepted. Custom air schedules are subject to schedule and aircraft equipment changes and do not guarantee seat assignments. 

Custom Air has an additional non-refundable fee of $199 per person, plus any additional airfare difference if applicable. To request custom air, you may send your request to flights@gonext.com or call our office no earlier than 270 days before departure. Please include your names, booking number, trip name, and specific request when emailing. Fees are not charged until you accept the flights. 

Flight upgrades
 
Oceania Cruises offers class of service upgrades for select departure cities on intercontinental flight segments (over water flights only). These upgrades include restricted business class and premium economy. If you have questions, please email flights@gonext.com or call us for assistance. 
 
Restricted Business Class 
This upgraded class of service is available for most departure cities at varying prices. It is offered on intercontinental flight segments (over-the-water flights only); U.S. domestic and inter-European segments will be in economy class. 
 
Premium Economy
Premium Economy upgrades are available for select departure cities. These upgrades are subject to availability and pricing changes. This upgraded class of service includes an average of 4-6 inches of additional legroom. Any U.S. domestic or inter-European segments will be in economy class.

Please Note: Some upgrades may have two or more connections and may not have a direct route.   

Seats, bags, airport assistance & other special requests 
Any pre-flight arrangements, such as seat assignments, frequent flyer programs, wheelchair requests, oxygen, or special meal requests, must be made by the guest directly with the airlines based on their policies and procedures. The airline determines baggage allowances, which may differ from those of a connecting segment. We recommend contacting the airline to determine your personal allowance to avoid excess baggage fees. We understand that some guests may require specific seat assignments or accommodations for medical reasons or height needs. In these cases, it is still best for the guest to make direct requests to the airline to ensure their needs are met appropriately. Please note that some airlines will not allow seat assignments before the ticket is confirmed or may charge an additional fee. Oceania Cruises will automatically confirm the final flight schedules approximately 95 days before departure.  
*Go Next, and Oceania Cruises cannot guarantee any special requests* 

    Traveling with friends or family 
    If you are in the same stateroom, class of air service, and departure/arrival city, you will automatically be booked on flights together. However, if you would like to travel with friends or family in a different stateroom, please make sure Go Next is aware of this and provide us with the names and booking numbers of the other guests. Oceania Cruises will attempt to get the same flights for parties traveling from the same air cities on the same dates. However, it is not guaranteed due to space availability and contract specifications. To ensure you are on the same flight, custom air requests must be submitted for all parties, and all custom air fees are applicable. 

    Booking your own airfare (not applicable for hosts) 
    If you want to plan your own flight arrangements, either round-trip or just one way, you can take a “Cruise Only Air Credit.” Air credit amounts are specific to each sailing and are subject to change. This credit must be requested at least 95 days before sailing. Oceania Cruises provides airport transfers only on the program dates. Oceania Cruises has contracts with the airlines that exclude using loyalty programs. If you wish to use a loyalty program, you will want to choose Cruise Only. To find out how much your air credit is, call us or email us at flights@gonext.com. 
     
    If you plan your own flight arrangements and purchase a Go Beyond with Go Next Pre- or Post-Cruise Program, please ensure that Go Next has your arrival/departure information 30 days before departure so your airport transfer can be arranged. Should you encounter airline delays or flight issues on the day of travel, contact Go Next with updated air details, and we will endeavor to rearrange your arrival service. If you arrive or depart outside of Pre- or Post-Cruise Program dates, transfers will not be provided. 

     

    Transfers

    Oceania Cruises Air Package:

    If your reservation includes the Oceania Cruises air package, ground transportation is provided from the airport to the ship the day the cruise departs and from the ship to the airport on disembarkation day.

    Cruise-only: 
    If you are making your own air arrangements and have not purchased a Go Beyond with Go Next pre- or post-cruise program, transfers are not included. Oceania Cruises offers transfers for purchase for cruise-only bookings. Oceania transfers are available on the cruise dates only. Call or email us for pricing.

    Go Beyond with Go Next pre/post-cruise programs:

    Pre-cruise programs include ground transportation from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the ship. Guests making their own air arrangements must provide Go Next with their flight details no later than 30 days before sailing.

    Post-cruise programs include ground transportation from the ship to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport. Guests making their own air arrangements must provide Go Next with their flight details no later than 30 days before sailing.

    Please Note:  Transfers are only available on Go Beyond program dates and are not included for U.S. and Canadian programs.

    Shore Excursions

    Adventure awaits! Shore excursions are an exciting part of your voyage, and Oceania Cruises offers a specially curated selection of tours for the ports of call on your itinerary. Specific ports may have limited shore excursion availability and fill up fast, so don’t wait too long to reserve! 

    Shore excursion reservations open 365 days before sailing, and all excursions must be reserved at least 14 days before departure. 

    Go to the search bar on our home page and enter the name of your sailing to access the printable list of shore excursions.

     

    Dining

    You will receive an email with instructions from Go Next 24 hours before dining reservations open for your stateroom category. Dining reservations can be made following the schedule below.

    If your reservation is booked with Your World Included™, you may choose to purchase the beverage package:

    Accommodations  

    Oceania Cruises will assign staterooms based on space availability. Requests for a specific deck, stateroom assignment, or adjacency are on a request basis only and cannot be guaranteed.   

    Gratuities

    If your reservation is booked with the simplyMORE™ amenity offer, gratuities for the onboard staff are not included in your cruise fare and will be added to your stateroom account as follows.  

    Owner’s, Vista, Oceania, & Penthouse Suites where butler service is provided  All Other Staterooms 
    $23.00 per person, per day  $18.00 per person, per day 

    If your reservation is booked with Your World Included™, gratuities are included with your cruise fare.

    Payments

    Deposit  
    If you have not yet made the deposit for your reservation, check your inbox for an upcoming email notification. Your reservation will be canceled if your deposit is not received by the due date. 

    Final Payment 
    The final payment date can be found on your invoice. Due to holidays, this date may differ a few days from the date printed in marketing materials. Note that the Go Next final payment date differs from the Oceania Cruises payment date. Reservations are subject to cancellation if payment is not received by this date. Any changes made after the final payment are subject to additional fees. After final payment has been made, any balance that appears on your reservation will be automatically charged to the credit card on file. To make your payment, call Go Next at 800.842.9023, Monday through Friday, 9:00AM-5:00PM CT.

    Cancellation

    Refunds & Cancellations 
    If you choose to cancel your reservation, we must receive written notice by e-mail sent to cancel@gonext.com. (with a confirmation of receipt from us).  

    Cancellation 
    Upon receipt of your written cancellation, service fees may apply in addition to any applicable airline or Pre-Cruise and/or Post-Cruise Program cancellation fees. Click here to view the full terms and conditions stated in the applicable Operator/Participant Agreement online, including limitations on responsibility and liability.
