John “Laz” Laskowski, is best known for his tenure on the Indiana University Hoosiers basketball team from 1973 to 1975. During his time at Indiana University he played on Big Ten championship teams including the 1975 team that went 18-0 in the Big Ten. During the 1975 season he was featured on the February 3, cover of Sports Illustrated.
Laz went on to play professionally for the Chicago Bulls for two seasons then became an announcer for Indiana University Hoosiers basketball for 33 years on WTTV Channel 4.
